Rain god helps Australia
New Zealand dropped the best chance to win the Chappell-Hadlee trophy, which has denied them over the years. They took an unassailable 2-0 lead but let the Aussies to bounce back. In the decider match rain God helped Australia to retain the trophy, which was at stake with the brilliance of Guptill. He made 64 of just 34 balls. Too many wickets at the middle were the main reason behind their defeat. Though it was not a convincing victory for the Australians they will take it as they are struggling for the past one-year.
